Thank you to our friends!

November was full of fun and laughter thanks to another challenging quiz set by our friend Elizabeth Morgan. Teams gathered in Prior's Hall where we argued over answers and tested the grey cells for our annual Quiz Night. A well-deserved break full of cheese, wine and refreshments was followed by a second round of quizzing before two teams were crowned joint winners - Team Orchard House and Rosemary Hind and her family.

Our tour of York Minster

Later that month we all enjoyed a day out in York. The Friends of York Minister greeted us to a wonderful array of cakes and refreshments before we split off into groups and went on our various tours of the Minster. We were fascinated by the similarities and differences between Durham Cathedral and York Minster. Thank you to Gwynne and Julia for arranging such a wonderful day for us.  We hope to return the welcome at Durham soon.

After exploring the Crypt and Museum under the Minster we headed off to the Christmas Markets for lunch and a spot of retail therapy, before heading back to the coach and returning home.

An excellent day.
